Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
