In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the official release, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.

The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Features

Players who finish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update
